EZ TAG Airport Parking now Available at Houston’s Airports

Starting March 30, on-airport parking customers at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) will have a new easy payment option available. That option is the use of the Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA) EZ TAG to pay for parking at the airports.

Working in conjunction with HCTRA the Houston Airport System (HAS) will designate EZ TAG lanes at both airports for automated and fast payment of parking fees. The system works just like the toll roads.

"We realized that many of our parking customers already have a HCTRA EZ TAG, and decided that it would improve our customer service to have EZ TAG lanes at our parking facilities," said Rick Vacar, director of HAS. "This new system not only speeds up the exiting process but also requires less manpower."

"Teams at the Toll Road Authority and the Houston Airport System have worked for several months to provide this enhanced service to our shared customer base," said Mike Strech, director of HCTRA. "Using your EZ TAG for on-airport parking will be easy. We encourage EZ TAG patrons to learn all the ins and outs before the first visit to airport parking using the EZ TAG."

HCTRA EZ Account customers with vehicles displaying a TAG and using a credit card for EZ Account transactions can begin using the new service on March 30, 2007. All information about the airport parking program is available on the parking program webpage. EZ Account patrons wanting to use the service may opt in by accessing their on-line EZ Account or by calling (281) 875-3279. The credit card associated with the EZ Account, and not the EZ Account balance, will be charged for all parking fees. EZ Accounts charged to a bank account via electronic funds transfer are not eligible for the airport parking service.
