EZTAGSTORE.COM Now Offers 24 Hour Service

The Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA) has announced the opening of their new online EZ TAG Store, which went "live" in October, 2002. The new 24 hour, full-service online EZ TAG Store, which can be reached at www.eztagstore.com, offers toll road patrons a means to enroll in the program, update existing vehicle and account information and check balances and account history, all from the convenience of their own computer via a secure connection to the new website.

"We are extremely pleased to offer the services of our new on-line EZ TAG Store to the public," HCTRA's Director Mike Strech said. "It adds another dimension of convenience to the program, and literally opens complete, 24-hour EZ TAG services to anyone with internet access in the comfort of their home or office. If an individual is interested in opening an EZ TAG account, all the necessary information is now available online at www.eztagstore.com," Mr. Strech explained. "Applications can be downloaded, submitted and processed via the internet, and EZ TAGs will be mailed to our new enrollees." He also emphasized that the on-line EZ TAG Store's data base and specific account information can only be accessed by designated individuals with Personal Identification Numbers which will be issued by the TAG Store. "We feel confident that this new program provides a secure environment for our customers," Mr. Strech said. "Another advantage to the new online EZ TAG Store is that EZ TAG patrons who have previously received monthly statements for an additional charge of $1.50 per month, can now save that money and download their statements as needed via PIN access to their account," Mr. Strech added.

With the much anticipated 2004 opening of the new all-electronic Westpark Tollway, HCTRA is encouraging patrons to enroll in the EZ TAG program at their earliest convenience, as the new facility will only allow EZ TAG access. "This is the first all-electronic system in our area," Mr. Strech said, "and we hope our new on line TAG Store will prove to be a valuable asset in helping us reach our enrollment goals and facility usage, as well as serve as an added convenience incentive to our customers."

In addition to the new www.eztagstore.com address, HCTRA currently has three EZ TAG locations to serve those who wish to enroll in person, or patrons can call 281-875-EASY for assistance by phone.
