New West Area Store to Open

Effective, Monday, December 18, 2006, the Harris County Toll Road Authority's West EZ TAG store will relocate from its Town and Country location to 2707 West Sam Houston Parkway, North (KM 449). The new store location will be on the southbound feeder between Kempwood and Hammerly. This location offers easier access on and off the Sam Houston Tollway.

The new store will offer an enhanced EZ TAG store experience including a roomier lobby, ample parking, and an expanded customer service representative staff. EZ TAG Services will also introduce a new concept:  an expediter.  Expediters will be on-hand in the store lobby to assist you before you get to the front of the line. "We believe this addition to the team will help everyone get through the line faster," says Denitra Brown, EZ TAG Services Manager.

Another added feature at the new store is an on-site EZ TAG reader.  The same technology that reads EZ TAGs out on the road will be in the store's parking area. This will allow customers to test an EZ TAG and make sure it's working properly before they leave.

The new Westside EZ TAG store will continue to offer all the same services including assistance with new and existing accounts such as purchasing EZ TAGs, updating accounts, and resolving violations.

The Westside Service Center will replace the store location in the Town and Country area at West Sam Houston and I-10.The Town & Country store will be closed for business at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2006, in preparation for the store relocation. The Westpark EZ TAG store at 4012 South Dairy Ashford, will be open on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Established in 1983 through a Harris County voter referendum, the HCTRA serves over 625,000 EZ TAG patrons in the Houston metropolitan region. For more information about the EZ TAG program visit our website at
