Update: Fallbrook Entrance and Exit Ramps Temporarily EZ TAG Only

On October 25, 2009, the Fallbrook entrance and exit ramps on the Sam Houston Tollway temporarily became single EZ TAG only lanes.  The temporary configuration which was expected to become effective on October 17, 2009 was postponed due to weather conditions.

Temporarily changing the configuration of these ramps will help speed construction and provide a safer commute for drivers while the work is completed.  Currently, both ramp locations consist of two lanes - one Automatic Coin Machine (ACM) / EZ TAG lane and one Full Service lane.  Once construction is complete, both ramps will consist of two wider, separately dedicated lanes for EZ TAG customers and cash customers.

Southbound cash customers who normally enter the Sam Houston Tollway at Fallbrook will need to use the North Gessner entrance ramp or enter the toll road after US 290 at W. Little York.  Northbound cash customers will need to use either West Road or Gessner to exit the Sam Houston Tollway.

Construction of the Fallbrook entrance and exit ramps is expected to be complete by January 5, 2010.  The widening of the Sam Houston Tollway from Fallbrook to Gessner is anticipated to be complete in Spring 2010 and will increase the corridor from three to four lanes in each direction.
