The Katy Managed Lanes operate as an all-electronic roadway. Three tolling plazas along the roadway will assess the current toll to the customer’s EZ TAG account upon detection; carpoolers traveling during HOV hours will not be assessed a toll if they use the designated left lane as they pass through the tolling plaza.
Remember, cash is not accepted on this roadway. If you find yourself on the managed lanes unintentionally:
DO NOT STOP OR BACK UP.
DO NOT DRIVE OVER THE CANDLESTICK BARRIERS INTO
THE GENERAL PURPOSE LANES.
DO NOT SUDDENLY CHANGE LANES TO AVOID TOLLING.
